We are Amairani, a refuge of peace and life in the heart of the Peruvian jungle, born from the dream of a group of friends who more than ten years ago imagined a space where nature was the protagonist, where the forest could regenerate and biodiversity could find shelter. Today, that dream is a reality. In a corner of the Escalera mountain range, surrounded by mountains, rivers and an indescribable natural wealth, we created a self-sustaining space that not only welcomes those seeking an experience in the jungle, but also protects, educates and raises awareness about the importance of preserving life in all its forms. Each stay at Amairani is an act of love for nature, a direct contribution to its conservation.

Here, time is measured by the sunlight filtering through the trees and the birdsong at dawn. Every path is an invitation to explore and every breeze that runs through the jungle reminds us how alive we are. Stop. Breathe deeply. Listen. The cabins that welcome our guests were built with local materials and traditional techniques, built by hand and with the knowledge of the community. Each space breathes the spirit of the jungle and respects its balance.

From a hammock, you can contemplate the vastness of the forest, wake up to the sound of birdsong or sleep under a starry sky. There are no barriers between you and nature; everything is designed to make you feel like you are part of it.

This territory is a biodiversity sanctuary, one of the richest natural reserves in the Peruvian Amazon. The Escalera Mountain Range is home to 50% of Peru's bird species, 37% of reptiles and 30% of amphibians. Walking through the forest is like discovering a vibrant and hidden world, where every plant, every insect and every creature plays an essential role in the balance of the ecosystem. It is easy to get lost in the immensity of the jungle, but it is even easier to find yourself in it.

We were taught that biodiversity is just a concept, a collection of species and ecosystems. But at Amairani we understand that it is much more: it is the web that sustains life, it is the very essence of our existence. Its loss is also our loss. Climate change, deforestation and ecosystem degradation affect us all. As forests disappear, temperatures rise, rivers dry up and species struggle to survive.
